Introduction: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 is an all-India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, and arts. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The score is used for admissions to postgraduate programs (M.E., M.Tech, Ph.D.) and for recruitment by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or have completed a Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit for appearing in GATE 2025.
• Nationality: Indian nationals and foreign nationals can apply.

Exam Pattern:

• Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 3 hours
• Total Marks: 100
• Total Questions: 65
• Question Types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
• Sections: General Aptitude (15 Marks) and Subject-specific questions (85 Marks).

GATE 2025 Papers: The GATE 2025 examination will be conducted for 29 papers including:

Application Fee:

• For General/OBC/EWS Candidates:
  • Early Bird: ₹1500
  • Regular: ₹2000
• For SC/ST/PwD/Female Candidates:
  • Early Bird: ₹750
  • Regular: ₹1250

How to Apply:

1. Registration: Candidates must register on the official GATE 2025 website by providing their name, valid email ID, and mobile number.
2. Filling Application Form: After registration, log in using the credentials, and fill out the application form with personal details, academic qualifications, and preferred exam centers.
3. Uploading Documents: Upload scanned copies of recent passport-sized photographs, signatures, and eligibility certificates.
4. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee online through net banking, credit card, or debit card.
5. Submit Application: After payment, review all details and submit the application form.
6. Print Confirmation: After successful submission, take a printout of the application confirmation for future reference.

Admit Card: The admit card will be available for download on the official GATE 2025 website in January 2025. It is mandatory to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination center.

Result and Scorecard: The GATE 2025 results will be announced in March 2025. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website. The GATE 2025 scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.
